The huge growth of computer technology, both hardware and software, and the explosion in computer applications that are accurate, fast, and highly dependable, have made computers penetrate every aspect of our life and become a pillar of our daily existence. Computers are found in business, industry, hospitals, schools, government, banks, companies, and homes.
The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and its programs constitute a qualitative addition to the preparation of skilled cadres in all technology fields. In turn, they contribute to building, development, and the renaissance of Sudan in general and White Nile State in particular, which is rich in young intelligent minds striving to keep pace with all that is new and modern locally and globally.
The Faculty is exerting all its efforts to provide a good educational, academic, and moral environment that suits this goal and strides forward to achieve its vision — believing in its important role in qualifying and training students, who are the hope of the present and future, and pioneers of progress and development for society and the nation.
