Objectives
Based on the need to provide national competencies specialized in the field of computer and information technology, and in recognition of the leading role of the faculty in serving society, the faculty has set the following objectives:
- Preparing students in the field of computer, information technology and information systems, qualifying them scientifically and practically.
- Contributing to develop scientific and applied research in this field.
- Qualifying graduates to complete their higher studies in the scientific disciplines offered by the faculty.
- Creating the appropriate environment for creativity and innovation in the field of computer science, through the provision of physical and moral incentives and rewards.
- Participating in the provision of advanced training programs for qualifying and promoting skills in the field of computer applications to the employees of the university in particular and the local community in general.
- Providing scientific and academic consultations.
- Providing programs and training courses that meet the needs of the labor market.
- Training students in the development of systems for private and public sectors as part of their program of study and coordination with these business and public sectors to provide facilities to the students.
- Integrating with the community through continuing education programs targeting non-computer users in order to reduce technological illiteracy.
